We understand the importance of  quality, affordability and flexibility when it comes to roof surveys. We take the time to understand our customers needs and tailor the roof survey for them. Whether they're buying a property and want to avoid any expensive surprises, or they're a commercial property owner that needs to plan roof maintenance or identify a leak.

Once you've made the booking we'll send one of our experienced CAA accredited drone operators to discreetly capture high-quality aerial video and images of your roof. We can do this independently from the street, so there's no need for anyone to meet us. Our drone surveys can be completed rapidly (within an hour for a typical residential house) unlike traditional physical roof inspections that can be time-consuming, expensive and potentially damaging to your roof.

Once the survey is completed we provide a web link to the images / video for download and easy sharing.  If needed, we can also provide a chartered surveyors report and quotes from trusted local roofing contractors.

We take pride in the quality of our drone service, and from £189 we also guarantee it's the most affordable in London.

Why Choose Roof Hawk To Survey Your Roof?

How Much On Average Does A Roof Survey Cost, UK?

On average, a residential drone roof survey may range from £200 to £500, considerably less than a non drone inspection. We charge from just £189 for comparison. Cost can vary depending on factors such as size of roof, complexity of assessment, Residential vs Commercial work etc.

How Frequently Should You  Have A Check up on Your Roof?

Two roof inspections a year—just before and just after winter—is the sweet spot of roof inspection frequency, but certainly try and get your roof inspected as often as is feasible if two times a year is not possible. It could save you a lot of money in the long run.

Why is A Roof Inspection Important Before Installing Solar Panels?

A full drone roof condition inspection is an essential step for anyone considering solar panel installation. This assessment identifies any issues associated with metal roofs (the best tile material), such as cut edge corrosion, UV degradation of coatings, and gutter defects.

How long does a roof inspection typically take?

We typically complete a survey of an average house within an hour. This can vary depending on the size and complexity of the roof. Larger commercial surveys of factories, hospitals or schools etc can take between 1 to 3 days, again dependant on the size and complexity of the roof(s).

What Are The Common Roof Issues Identified During A Survey?

Common roof issues identified during a survey include leaks, damaged or missing shingles, structural concerns, ventilation problems, chimney stack defects, vegetation, and signs of aging or wear.

What Does The Drone Survey Include?

A weblink to detailed video/images of the roof are provided for easy download and to view / share the images online.

A written report is not included in the basic survey, as in many instances a written report is not required. Where one is, we can provide a standard written report, a certificate of roof condition or a full chartered surveyors report.  We also partner with trusted local roofing contractors who can provide quotes for any work that may be required, although we always encourage our customers to seek comparative quotes.  The weblink we provide to the detailed 4k aerial video/images enable our customers to easily obtain comparative quotes from roofing contractors by email, without the hassle of having to manage multiple contractors physically turning up to quote.

Where customers have already engaged their own chartered surveyor, for example for a Level 2 or 3 Home Survey, they can share images of the roof with their surveyor to enable the inclusion of an accurate roof assessment in the home buyers report.

Why Are Drone Surveys Better Than a conventional Roofers Survey?

Drone surveys are faster, less expensive, safer, more accurate and efficient, and can be used in a variety of environments and conditions inaccessible to conventional roofers. They are also safer than physical inspections which risk costly damage as roofing contractors cross the roof.

How does Pricing work for commercial work?

Pricing for commercial roof surveys works on a quote based scheme. Starting from a fixed price of £189 additional fees apply depending on factors such as the size and complexity of the roof, location, and specific requirements of the project. Please contact us to obtain a quote that's tailored to your needs.

How Long Does It Take To Receive The Footage?

We share the video footage  & images rapidly via a weblink. Often the same day dependant on the size / complexity of the roof.

Where does Roof Hawk operate

We are based in London, Islington. We cover all London boroughs for residential and commercial surveys and nationally for larger commercial roof surveys.
